About the Project

A partner to the "Swimming on Your Back" project, these iIlustrations focus on the life cycle, behavior, and conservation history of the Northern Humpback whale. The project was a collaboration between myself and musician and former Alaska SeaLife Center Education Coordinator and Kenai Fjords Park Ranger Jim Pfieffenberger. Jim and I met remotely each week to exchange concepts, reference material, sketches, and iterations to compliment the lyrics and educational text to his song, "Supper Sea". You can find this song from the "Tunes from the Tides" album here on Spotify.
